Unfortunately, due to the effects of the COVID-19 restrictions, it is not possible to send gift-filled shoeboxes from Ireland this year.

Instead Team Hope will be asking schools, families, friends, communities and businesses to #TeamUpForTeamHope by donating gift-filled shoeboxes for children affected by poverty ONLINE.…

To all our followers and supporters. This week we are running critically low on

Pasta sauces, Tins (other than beans), Rice, Sauces ie: Ketchup/mayo etc

Coffee and teabags, Cereals (other than children’s cereals)

We have ample amounts of beans, biscuits and children’s cereals for a couple of weeks.

Deepest Sympathy to Brendan Thompson & Mary Wheeler & their families on the death of their brother Cyril Thompson, Carlow & formerly Monasterevin who passed away on Wednesday September 23. Cyril will be sadly missed by his loving wife Kay, sons Joe & Peter, daughters Carol & Suzanne, grandchildren, brothers Brendan, Kieran & Kevin, sister Mary, his extended family & friends. Burial took place on September 26 in Leighlinbridge. May Cyril rest in Peace.

Deepest Sympathy to the family of Marlene (Mary) Kennedy (nee O’Carroll) Annamoe, Portarlington & formerly Kilteely, Limerick who passed away on Thursday October 8. Mary was predeceased by her baby Darragh & brother Jerry. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Kevin, sons Eoin, Kevin & Darragh, daughters Anne & Marian, her 3 grandchildren, siblings Sibhy & Dick, extended family, neighbours & friends. Funeral took place on Saturday October 10 to St Michael’s Cemetery. May Mary’s gentle soul rest in Peace.

ARLINGTON AFC JUVENILES·

Whilst we will have no matches for the next 3 weeks, training can still go ahead outdoors.

Teams can train in pods of 15.

Players must remain at home if showing any symptoms of being unwell, or if they have been advised to isolate due to contact tracing.

Players must attend training with own labelled water bottle.

Players must be responsible for handling of own gear e.g. jackets etc.

Players must sanitise hands before & after session.

Players must socially distance.

Training is an important outlet for players right now, so let’s all work together, remind your children of the guidelines so we can maintain a safe training environment.
