BACK TO SCHOOL
Wishing all the boys & girls in our Parish all the best as they return to school. Well done to all the teaching staff who made sure that everything was in place for the safe return of their pupils.
PORT MEALS ON WHEELS
The committee of Portarlington Social Services/Meals on Wheels would like to thank everyone who helped in anyway to keep the service going during the past 6 months. Without the help we received we could not have managed to cook & deliver to our many recipients. Thanks to the wonderful kitchen staff, the volunteer drivers, Martina and the CE scheme. To all the people who donated in anyway and all the offers of help.
At the present rate, we expect to exceed over 8,000 meals this year. A wonderful service which is now 48 years on the go.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions, Garryhinch & Portarlington Bridge clubs are not in a position to reopen this September. If, and when there are changes, members will be notified. In the meantime, we wish everyone well.
