They very much appreciate all of your support and will be in touch with the lucky winners in the coming days.

SKYDIVE

Well done to Thomas Weight Gracefield, who fulfilled his ambition to do a Skydive as soon as he was old enough to qualify. He chose Youth Suicide Prevention Ireland, because he believes that there is not enough support for young people with mental illness in his own community.

The condition for the jump was that Thomas had to raise at least €500 for the charity, which visits schools to give free workshops on mental health. Great support came through and he well exceeded the target, raising €1,710 so far for Youth Suicide prevention Ireland.

His fundraiser remains open to sponsorship here until February 2021 or text YSPI SFL5480 to 50300  to make a €4 donation.

“All donations will be greatly appreciated,” said Thomas.

FAME FOR THE FAMILIES

Fame for the Families is an event that will take place on October 9 & 10 at Portarlington Rugby Club to raise funds for local families who have suffered the stress and upset caused by medical trauma.

The first task is to find talented singers who want to do their bit to bring some happiness to families who really deserve it. So, if you know someone who has what it takes to participate in a live singing competition and join the other contestants in recording a track that will be released for download to raise funds and promote the event then send them our way! Contact Barry Lambkin & Clive Doody or any committee member for more information.
