PORT MEALS ON WHEELS
The Committee of Portarlington Meals on Wheels are continuing to cook & deliver over 50 meals a day 3 days a week for as long as is humanly possible. We have contacted all our meal recipients to leave a container outside their door, so the delivery person does not need to make contact with them. This is so hard to do, as they all love the chat on the days we deliver.
We have taken precautions at our Centre for our staff & our deliverers. We are also contacting all our delivery people that if they are concerned about going out, we understand and will make other arrangements.

We would be concerned about some people on our list if they could not receive our meals. Please God everyone will stay safe & look out for one another. Think of all our carers who are looking after people in their homes. Keep everyone safe. Take no unnecessary risks everyone. Thanks so much to everyone who has offered their help.

Please keep sharing & donating to these local fundraisers. Denise Geoghegan has been in the Mater hospital for over 2 months waiting on a heart transplant. Andrea Broughan is in Beaumont Hospital on life support after having major brain surgery. Please check out the Gofund me pages for these 2 young mothers & their families.

Deepest Sympathy to the family of Edward (Freddie) Dunne, Ballymorris & formerly Congress Tce who passed away on Thursday March 12. Freddie will be sadly missed by his brother Paddy, sisters in laws, extended family & friends. Requiem Mass took place on Monday March 16 at St John’s Church Killenard, with burial after in the adjoining Cemetery. May Freddie rest in Peace.
