FUNDRAISER

Our town was once again shocked & saddened to learn of another young mother been critically ill in Beaumont hospital. Andrea Broughan was struck down for the 2nd time in 4 months from Meningitis. After coming through the last one last November she once again was struck down by the same illness, but this time with more complications. Andy as she is lovingly known by her family and friends had major brain surgery at Beaumont hospital. She remains critical and her parents Paul & Jan, sister Caitriona, brother Paul & fiancée Adam are keeping a vigil at her bedside.

Andy is an active member of Portarlington Rugby Club, where she is very popular with all her team mates. The Club organised a vigil at the clubhouse on Monday March 2. Once again, the town of Portarlington have come up trumps with fundraisers for Andy’s family to support & ease practical worries for her family at this difficult time. You can also donate to a Gofund me page for Andrea which was set up by her rugby friends.

Please support if you can. Thanks.

Prayers and thoughts are with both the Geoghegan & Broughan families at this time.
