ADULT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Foróige is looking for adult volunteers to support them in their work. If you have a skill to share or are passionate about working with young people. CHARITY RUN/WALK

St Michael’s AC are holding their annual 5k Charity Run/Walk at the Heritage Hotel Killenard on March 8 starting at 11am, registration from 9.30. Entry fee €10 per person.  This year it’s in aid of the Senior Citizens Annual Christmas Party, which is a great day out and enjoyed by everyone. Your support would be appreciated.

SYMPATHY

Deepest Sympathy to the family of Tom Gorman, Lea Road & formerly Acragar Mountmellick who passed away on Saturday February 15. Tom will be sadly missed by his loving wife Madge, son John, daughter Mairead, sister Maura Lawlor (Patrick’s Ave), his extended family & friends. Requiem Mass took place on Monday February 17 in St Michael’s Church, with burial after in St Michael’s Cemetery. May Tom rest in Peace.

Ambrose will be sadly missed by his loving wife Margaret, extended family, neighbours & friends. Phil will be sadly missed by her daughter Lisa, grandchildren Mikey & Tara, their father Michael, Lisa’s partner Ronan, brothers, sisters, extended family & friends. Requiem Mass took place on Saturday February 22 in St Michael’s Church, with burial after in St Michael’s Cemetery. May Phil’s gentle soul rest in Peace.

Laois All Counties Draw-That time of year folks where we look for a big response with our main fundraiser of the year, the Laois Clubs Monster Draw with over €125,000 in prizemoney to be won, with 4 monthly draws starting in March, and last one in June. Tickets are €130 on sale from any committee member, and can be paid in instalments of 4 x €32.50.

Bingo-Bingo takes place every Tuesday night at 8.30pm in the GAA Centre, McCann Pk with up to €4000 in prizemoney to be won.
Lotto-Laois Clubs Combined Lotto Results for February 13. Jackpot-€14,000. No winner of Jackpot. Numbers drawn 03-13-15-25. €20 winners Pat C/O Burbage’s & Mary & Bernie. Next week’s jackpot €14,200.

ARLINGTON AFC JUVENILES

The Club are looking to add to their girl’s squad. Training every Wednesday from 6pm to 7pm in the Portarlington Community Centre. Players both experienced and new to football are very welcome. Players must be born in 2004 or 2005. If you are from Portarlington or the surrounding area you are more than welcome to come training. If you have any goalkeeping experience, we would love you to call out.
