COLAISTE IOSAGAIN FUNDRAISER
The Parents Council at Colaiste Iosagain are holding a used clothing collection as part of their annual fundraising for the school. All donations of clean clothing, shoes, belts, bags, bedding and cuddly toys are greatly appreciated. Please leave all donations into the school on or before Saturday April 21 @10 am. The allotments have moved to their new home at the Old Convent Gardens next to St. Michael’s Church, Patrick Street. If you wish to join them at St. Michael’s you can contact Mike on 086-2056542 to secure a plot, as this area is not as big as the previous site.
FRIENDS TOGETHER SOCIAL CLUB
The club meets every Tuesday & Friday in the Scouts Den, Main St from 2.30pm – 5pm, offering a selection of games & activities, social outings & refreshments & play area for children. New members welcome.

PORTARLINGTON CONCERT BAND
The Portarlington Concert Band are keen to increase their numbers for boys & girls aged 8 years & upwards. Classes take place every Thursday between 4.30 & 6.30pm. Instruments offered are: Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, Saxophone & Percussion. Instruments are provided. MONDAY NIGHT DANCING
Dancing in Aid of Portarlington St Vincent de Paul continues every Monday night in the Gandon Inn Hotel & Restaurant. Dancing on April 23-Glen Flynn. Admission €8. Dancing 9.30pm to 12. A great night assured.

Bingo continues every Tuesday night at 8.30pm in the Port GAA Centre. Prize money given out each week is over €2,200.

Deepest Sympathy to the Phelan family on the death of Roger (Rody) Phelan, Two Mile Borris, & formerly St Brigid’s Sq & Clonterry Mountmellick who passed away on Wednesday April 11. Rody was predeceased by his parents Michael & Margaret & brother Michael. He will be sadly missed by his sons Roger, Michael & Adrian, daughters Goretti, Louise, Caroline, Angela & Orla, brother Jim, sisters Louise & Angela, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, neighbours & friends. Requiem Mass took place on Friday April 13 in St James Church, Two Mile Borris, with burial after in St Joseph’s Cemetery Mountmellick. May Rody rest in Peace.

Colaiste Iosagain are holding a Golf Classic on April 27 to raise funds for the school’s extra-curricular subjects: Music, Art & & Sports Department. Venue: Portarlington Golf Club.
