The club meets every Tuesday & Friday in the Scouts Den, Main St from 2.30pm – 5pm, offering a selection of games & activities, social outings & refreshments & play area for children. New members welcome.

PORTARLINGTON CONCERT BAND
Check out some of the children having fun today at Portarlington Concert Band practice.
The Portarlington Concert Band are keen to increase their numbers for boys & girls aged 8 years & upwards. Classes take place every Thursday between 4.30 & 6.30pm. Instruments offered are: Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, Saxophone & Percussion. Instruments are provided. If you would like your child to learn an instrument please contact Pat Donegan on 083-8510428.
Bingo continues every Tuesday night at 8.30pm in the Port GAA Centre. Prize money given out each week is over €2,200.
Sale on in the St Vincent de Paul shop, Main St. Includes clothes, household items & lots more. Also raffle tickets on sale for €1. Raffle ongoing for lots of hampers for Easter.

MONDAY NIGHT DANCING
Dancing in Aid of Portarlington St Vincent de Paul continues every Monday night in the Gandon Inn Hotel & Restaurant. Monday night dancing on March 26- with dancing to Unity. Admission €8. Dancing 9.30pm to 12. A great night assured.
Deepest Sympathy to Kathleen Bennett & family Rosecourt on the death of her Mam, Mary O’Donnell (nee Hartnett), Caherfeenick Cree, Co. Clare who passed away on March 8. Mary was predeceased by her loving husband Simon & son John. She will be sadly missed by her sons Senan, William, Thomas & Gerard, daughters Ann, Kathleen (Bennett), Breda & Sinead, sister & brother, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her extended family & friends. Requiem Mass took place in St Mary’s Church, Cree on Saturday March 10, with burial after in Clohanes Cemetery. May Mary rest in Peace.

Easter at Portarlington Library -Make Your Own Fairy-tale Forest. Create your own Fairy-tale forest and listen to stories of thorny woods and mysterious creatures with storyteller Simone Schummelfeder. Wednesday March 28 from 10:30am-12:30pm, Ages 8-12. Free workshop but places are limited so booking is essential.
Help Decorate our Easter Tree-Parent and Child Crafts. We need help decorating the library Easter tree. Why not pop into the library with the children and pick up your egg colouring kit from the library desk. All finished eggs will be hung on the library tree.
Story Massage- Parent and Child Workshop-Story massage is a fun and interactive way of combining the creativity of storytelling with the benefits of massage. This parent and child workshop will teach you how. Wednesday April 4 from 3pm-4pm. Suitable age of accompanied children 4-9year olds. Free workshop but places are limited so booking is essential.
