PCDA FUNDRAISING TABLE QUIZ
The Portarlington Community Development Association/ Love Port office are holding a fundraising Table Quiz in the Hawthorn Bar Portarlington on Friday March 9 @ 8.30pm. All monies raised on the night will go towards the support of our ongoing local projects. The biggest project at the moment is the Derryounce walks & lakes.
Please come out and support us on the night. Cost- €40 per table with 4 to a table.

PORTARLINGTON CONCERT BAND

The Portarlington Concert Band are keen to increase their numbers for boys & girls aged 9 years & upwards. Classes take place every Thursday between 4.30 & 6.30pm. Instruments offered are: Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, Saxophone & Percussion. If you would like your child to learn an instrument please contact Pat Donegan on 083-8510428.

The Committee would like to congratulate the boys & girls who played with the Newbridge Junior Concert Band recently.

Bingo continues every Tuesday night at 8.30pm in the Port GAA Centre. Prize money given out each week is over €2,200

 

 MONDAY NIGHT DANCING

Dancing in Aid of Portarlington St Vincent de Paul continues every Monday night in the Gandon Inn Hotel & Restaurant. Monday night dancing on March 5- with dancing to John & Terry. Admission €8. Dancing 9.30pm to 12. A great night assured.

Gracefield GAA are holding a fundraising Table Quiz on Saturday March 3 at 9pm in the Hawthorn Bar. Table of 4 is €40. Come along for a great night of fun.

 

CHURCH GATE COLLECTION
Friends Together Portarlington social club Church gate collection will be held on March 3 and 4. Your support will be gratefully appreciated. The club continues to meet every Tuesday and Friday in the Scouts Den from 2.30pm-5pm, offering a selection of games, activities, social outings and refreshments. Play area for children. New members welcome.

SYMPATHY

Deepest Sympathy to the family of Jimmy Murphy Congress Tce who passed away on Saturday February 17. Jimmy was predeceased by his loving son Fergus & infant daughter Imelda. He will be sadly missed by his devoted wife Kathleen, sons Brian & Seamus, daughters Marie & Vivienne, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, neighbours & friends. Jimmy was well known at many a function for his wonderful singing voice. He was often heard singing “I will take you home again Kathleen”, singing this to his loving wife Kathleen. Requiem Mass took place in St Michael’s Church on Monday February 19, with burial after in St Michael’s Cemetery. May Jimmy rest in Peace.

 

ARLINGTON AFC EASTER CAMP FOR GIRLS

Easter Camp for Girls on March 26 & 27 at Arlington A.F.C, Castle Park.  Participants receive 2-day coaching, a soccer kit and ball. To book: www.soccersisters.ie and select Arlington.
