The Irish Blood Transfusion service will be at the Community Centre on Tuesday February 6 from 4.30-8pm. Please put this date in your diary.

MONDAY NIGHT DANCING

Dancing in Aid of Portarlington St Vincent de Paul continues every Monday night in the Gandon Inn Hotel & Restaurant. Monday night dancing on February 5- with the Kelly Family. Admission €7. Dancing 9.30pm to 12. A great night assured.

 

GALA BALL

This fabulous night of the year is fast approaching. The glitz and glamour night is on February 23 in the Heritage Hotel, Killenard. Proceeds are in aid of Portarlington Senior Citizens. Portarlington St V de Paul Christmas Dance & Draw at the Gandon Inn

BINGO

Bingo will continue in Portarlington GAA Centre every Tuesday night at 8.30pm. Over €2,000 in prize money.

PORTARLINGTON CONCERT BAND MEETING

The Concert Band for boys & girls aged 9 years and upwards is back up and running for the New Year. Instruments offered are: Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, Saxophone, Euphonium & Percussion. If you would like your child to learn an instrument in the New Year please contact Pat Donegan on 083-8510428.

OPERATION TRANSFORMATION
Monday nights lights in association with Operation Transformation has starting and will continue every Monday night for 6 weeks from 7-9pm at the Portarlington GAA Centre.
The Floodlights will be turned on and everyone is free to attend where you can run & walk in a safe & secure environment. For club members & non-club members. Families & children are all welcome.

SYMPATHY

Deepest Sympathy to Moira Shortall & family Station Rd on the death of her brother Nevin (Edward) Breen, Galway & formerly Dr Murphy Place Portlaoise who passed away on Friday January 19. Nevin was predeceased by his loving wife Magdalen (nee Tierney) & he will be sadly missed by his sons Thomas & Eamonn, daughter Maria, brothers Liam & Tom, sisters Moira, Barbara, Vera & Concepta, his 5 grandchildren, extended family & many friends. Requiem Mass took place at the Augustinian Church Galway, with burial after in Rahoon cemetery. May Nevin rest in Peace.

LOURDES PILGRIMAGE

Portarlington Happy Hearts/ Active Retirement Club invite new members, age over 55 years to join their club. The club meet every Thursday from 2-4pm in the Community Centre.
