The All Ireland Rings competition was run over the weekend of 13/04/18 to 15/04/18 in the Green Isle Hotel in Dublin. The Laois Rings team were grouped with Louth, Meath and West Cork, and qualified along with Louth for the Semi Finals where the pairings were Kildare v Louth and Laois V Cork.  Laois overcame Cork and Kildare defeated Louth to set up an All-Ireland final between these two neighbours. In a very close final, Laois overcame Kildare by 2 games to 1, and in doing so, bridged a gap of 32 years since last winning a team All-Ireland Title.

In the All-Ireland B1 singles competition, Junior Dowling was successful in overcoming some very strong opposition in what was a highly competitive grade.

Finally, Paul Kavanagh from the Laois team helped out West Cork in the C Team section to win this grade.
