Midlands Poc Fada

An Poc Fada (Midlands) will be held as part of the Midlands Donkey Derby Ras an Asal in Ballacolla on Sunday 31st July in Talbots Hill. The Poc Fada event which is an open competition will consist of  hurling and camogie sections. Hurling will have the following categories Senior, Over 40 and Under 16 while the camogie section will consist of Senior and Juvenile. The outright winner will receive 100 euro sponsored by Dunphy  Agri while there will be further prizes for all category winners.

Mountmellick Gallery News:

Red Line Art group are proud to present their second exhibition of art which will run in Mountmellick Gallery for the month of July. The Redline art group are based in Emo, Co. Laois and have been working together for 7 years. Their works are in various media.

Charity Concert in aid of Suicide Prevention and Lourdes Invalid Fund with Mr. Johnny Carroll and Guests in St. Canice;s Church, Clough, on Friday 30th September. Doors open at 7.3pm and Concert starts at 8pm.  Tickets are €15. For more information please contact Helen on 087 6962140.

All Laois’s games last weekend were refixed due to weather.
This coming Sunday 10th July Laois 1 are in the quarter final of the National cup against Ballyspallen CC(Derry) in a coloured kit competition.
